This is a branch of my family who were directors in Templeton's Carpet Factory in Bridgeton. Although not a direct line David Alexander Turnbull who was born on 8th Dec. 1861 in Great Hamilton St. Glasgow ( Now part of London Road), was the cousin of my Great Grandfather Matthew Turnbull.

James Templeton & Co had several carpet factories in the East End  as well as a sister company, J & J S Templeton, which made Brussels carpets on Jacquard looms at premises on Crownpoint Road.
